I have severely dry, cracked hands in the winter and horrible cuticles all year long, and this WORKS!!
It smells lovely, but it’s not over-powering, it’s just enough.
It does leave a bit of a greasy cast for quite a while, but I don’t even mind because of how soothing it feels. It’s incredible.
Super thick and nourishing, great for hands/elbows/knees/feet. The rose and coconut scents are my favorites. Great product
Rose scent is not overpowering. Cream sinks in straight away. Great for dry skin and cuticles. A heavier cream than what I'm used to but I love it. I'm using it at night because it is a heavy duty product. Will be perfect in winter.
I was expecting a bit more of a rose scent but I'm not complaining. I have no idea what lanolin is, is it from a goat? (haha) But regardless, I found the scent pretty enjoyable actually. It's different, that's for sure. Quite unlike hand creams I've used before but I really like it. It spreads on nicely and leaves my hands feeling silky smooth. A good buy! I purchased this when it first arrived on the market years ago, having used the original 101 Ointment previously (which I had to give up using after I started reacting to it for some odd & unknown reason). I was a little hesitant at first given my previous experience, but I needn't have worried because this stuff is just as great if not greater than the original version!
First things first: the scent. It really smells like coconuts, or at the very least a good coconut oil. Often you'll find a lot of "fake" coconut scented things on the market, but this to me is the real deal & the scent is what drew me to this product in the first place.
Like the original 101 Ointment, this too is a multi-purpose balm & can be used in that way (I've massaged any excess into my cuticles on numerous occasions & it seems to help them), but I use it solely as a lip balm & it fits that purpose perfectly. It does a wonderful job of keeping my drier-than-the-Sahara lips hydrated, even though I have to apply it on a semi-regular basis (which I'm used to anyway). I even use it at night as an overnight lip treatment & it works very well in that department. I will caution that it can feel sticky if you apply too much, so a little does go a long way.
If you're a fan of the original 101 Ointment & you like coconut scented stuff, then you've got to try the Coconutter version! Beautyheaven customer review.
